(Or maybe I should just call this one “Fun with Pete and Kelly Sauer.”)
I thought I would record this FAQ post, since I’ve been having issues getting it out in writing. BECAUSE PUBLIC SPEAKING IS SO MUCH EASIER THAN WRITING.
I finally asked my well-spoken goof of a husband to help me out with the recording by asking me questions and giving me someone to talk to. He obliged, and, um, (20 or so takes later) we settled on this rather muddy-but-graspable session, in which we discuss fine art, why I fit into it, how I got into lifestyle photography, and how I believe that all real people can look like models.
Which isn’t actually part of my real brand. It’s just what I said. Only, it kind of is – because I do try to make every subject look THAT good.
Anyway, without further ado, our awkward-ish answer to what we presume might be your FAQ.
BONUS: Our first recording was actually heading toward being better than the one you’ve heard. Only. We didn’t talk about Fine Art Lifestyle Photography in it.
P.S. We only have ONE desk chair. Ahem.
P.P.S. I don’t see a public speaking career in my future… You should SEE my hands shaking. Forty-five minutes later.
P.P.P.S. This one really falls under the “TOO MUCH FUN” category. Maybe not so much the FAQ thing.

Good to hear you two having such fun with this. Art is fun! And it should never be taken too seriously.
Hee hee!!!
You guys are hilarious. That is all.
Just had to hear you talking again. And (sort of) meet Pete.
Great start to my morning. You guys make me smile.
*grin* The only reason I posted this was because I figured it would be fun to give people a chance to “meet” us. This is very much the way we are with clients and friends when we’re having a conversation.
At least the first part.
The bonus part… Well.
Ahem.
Yay! Always glad to bring a smile. It’s what we do! ;-)
Can I just say how much I enjoyed this? I loved the ‘real’ one but the outtakes…just laughing over here. Love that the fun slipped in. And Pete sounds exactly like I thought he would. Even with his ‘voices’. :D
:-) I was trying to decide whether that part about public speaking being easier was sarcasm or not… Saying your hands were shaking makes me feel a little better, ’cause, well… mine would be, too. (How is that possible being born into a family of lawyers and debaters? Oh, it is possible, I assure you. Lol.) Very cute, fun, and informative!
Yes, say it! Isn’t he great?
LOL – I was blushing almost the whole way through, and BELIEVE ME, after knowing the lawyers and debaters we know, I felt CRAZY trying this!
It was fun, though, and I’d like to try again. What do you think?
hilarious! and well done!
My dear, I love how you welcome us in and let us glimpse your sweet love, as well as learn a little more about how you see the world. You have NO IDEA how much I hope to have you take my (and hopefully my childrens’) photos one day. I’ve told God it’s up to him to make it happen. :P
Sure! I liked that it was more in the form of a conversation… That makes it much more comfortable and natural. :-)
Someday, Karen. Someday!
so cute!!! loved this, Kelly :)
I laughed so much at these! Sounds like my husband when I’m trying to get him to be serious….
Cute … real … funny! Well done and great information! I like to think of myself as an artist behind the camera, because I’ve had absolutely NO formal training! And you described that “feeling” perfectly!
Stay real … it’s why you and your art and your photography are soooo beautiful!
Blessings.
Genius. To hear your fun conversation WHILE looking at your gorgeous photos? Couldn’t be better. Thanks for putting it up there for us to see, Kelly. (LOVE your husband’s contributions.)
So loved this, Kelly!!
i am laughing so hard right now, trying not to shake the bed too much and wake my hubby. i now love Pete as much as i love you. hope that’s okay. :)
*but your butt fits perfectly in my lap*. bwahahahahahaha!
FAVORITE. COMMENT. ;-) Good to see you, Elise!
Cheers to the both of you of having this post completed for us readers.
