Eight months pregnant, with no air-conditioning, my friend Rachel is ready to hold her new baby. But yesterday, in spite of the heat and to help with the waiting, we did a beautiful maternity session to help me build my new lifestyle collection (launching later this month, deo volente). I don’t think I ever figured on loving my indoor work as much as – or more than! – my outdoor work. Who’d have thought? This is why I continue to pursue portfolio work – even at a reduced cost. I learn more about myself and more about my equipment every single time I shoot. But the best part? I get to work with people who trust me and my camera enough to allow me to experiment, shoot and re-shoot, squeal and share, and even sweet-talk them. Or baby-talk. Um.
Anyway. I can’t wait to share the rest of these soon. They are all SO. FLIPPING. PRETTY.
