John and Rani are one of the most perfect couples I’ve ever met, and we had one of the most perfect engagement shoots I’ve ever had. Sometimes in life, everything just comes together exactly right, and I think for these two, it really has. They are best friends. They love on each other, they goof off together, they play with their daughter, Joelle, together, and they’re even planning their wedding together. You don’t get much more fun than these two down-to-earth former models.
We had the best light I’ve ever had for their engagement session outside Charleston’s Sugar Bake Shop at 7:00am. I don’t know what it was, but there was some kind of magic that touched these photos.
This Washington, D.C. couple is receiving my giveaway wedding this year with their super-fun outdoor family wedding plan (things you can usually plan in Charleston, thanks to our Very Kind Weather Patterns) – and I can’t wait to photograph them again in October!
