Ashleigh listens, and she tells stories. Her tender heart is a hidden treasure that leaves clues for the finding in her stories; her writing is laden with intangible secrets that stir a soul-deep longing for more. She is the one you want to know, the girl next door, the sweetest, prettiest smile you’ve ever seen.
She used to be Heart and Home, and I guess she still is in a way, this beautiful girl who comes from places I know with ever so much more grace and bravery than I have come, bringing her heart to its safest home. Ashleigh mothers three little men and loves a Marine, and she can no more stop writing than she can stop breathing.
I discovered her blog years ago, and a few weeks ago, I got to connect with her again in person as she rocked her littlest one to sleep. She listened to me trying to figure out my story; I listened to others tell hers back to her in one of the most incredible God-moments I have ever witnessed.
And. She let me take her picture. I’m so lucky, bringing a little of her home with me so I can share her with you…
